Elementary Pastor
Hi I’m Tom O’Neill. My wife, Rachel, and I have been coming to Church On The Ridge since moving to Snoqualmie in 2014. I have been on staff since 2020 and currently serve as our Elementary Pastor. You will likely see my wife regularly on stage singing really well, and you’ll probably find me in the 2nd floor Elementary Room dancing poorly, making dad jokes, and putting up a high score in “Pop-a-Shot”. We have two boys, Ellis and Abner, who have grown up here at COTR and like to make kids church more “lively”. Much of my professional/ministry background is in middle school and high school settings. I didn’t grow up going to church however, I met Jesus in one of those youth settings through the ministry of Young Life as a senior in high school. And while I didn’t do kids church as a kid myself, I now have grown to love kids ministry and the opportunity to make sure every kid and every family who walk through our doors feel welcome regardless of what their faith background might be. I’ve got a great job, because every week I get to tell kids the Good News that there is a God in Heaven who knows who they are and loves them more than anything!

I have been living in Snoqualmie since 2003 and am happy to call this place home. I met my wife, Rebecca, at Church on the Ridge in a community group. We have been married since 2018. Amos, our son, was born in 2021, and while he may be outgrowing clothes faster than any of his cousins, we are deeply blessed to be his parents. I enjoy scuba diving and have been diving avidly since 2015. If you enjoy scuba diving, then we should go together!
In 2009, I did a discipleship training school with Youth with a Mission, where God set me on my current trajectory for life. God told me to go into full-time ministry as I walked around a large lake in Perth, Australia. I wanted to open up Cicis Pizza restaurants, but I am happy I listened to God and am where I am today, serving the student ministries team and helping to ensure all of our students know that they are infinitely loved by their Creator.
If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know, and I will be happy to try my best.

I have attended COTR and served on the preschool ministry team in some capacity since 2018. We actually came to COTR because we were looking for a church that would help our toddlers learn about the love of Jesus so this ministry is especially close to my heart. I started out in the infants room and then moved to the 1s-2s room (in the old building) before taking over preparation of the Sunday activities and crafts, which I've been doing for over three years now. My favorite part of serving on this team is that my kids can be involved too. As long as I've been preparing the crafts they've been making the sample crafts. Here's a little more about myself outside of COTR: My husband Rance and I have been married almost ten years and we have three boys, Robbie (7), Rudy (5) and Raynor (3). I grew up in Mukilteo and have been living in Snoqualmie for eight years. I love to read and I especially love historical fiction and Bible Studies (She Reads Truth is my favorite!). Before kids, I had horses and had been riding almost all of my life in almost every discipline. I am the biggest extrovert ever, so please don't ever hesitate to stop and say hi! It will probably make my day. I'm so excited to work with all of you and get to know you better! Thank you for all you do to make our preschool ministry amazing!
