Mommy’s Morning Out
This class is designed for children that are 2.5 old by November 1. The program gives parents a chance to have some free time while your child is actively engaging with other children. The class will focus on preschool readiness and social skills. The classroom will have stations including sensory, art and fine motor skills. The teachers will have a circle time with music, movement, and stories. There will be a snack together and playground time. Come join the fun!
To enter this class your child must be 3 years old by November 1. The students in the 3s class will experience a loved-filled learning environment, with many hands-on materials. Children will work on name-writing, letter and number recognition, and circle time activities. They will practice self-care skills such as being responsible for cleaning up their space, keeping tack of their personal items, and independently using the restroom.
The Pre-K class is a busy room and the children are given the freedom to choose learning materials, guided by the teacher to ensure that each student is progressing towards Kindergarten readiness. Allowing the students to choose their work helps build their confidence and independence to explore. Circle time emphasizes class theme curriculum, sound of the week, books, songs, and art.
For classes that have extended hours until 1:30pm, children will need to bring a healthy lunch to enjoy at school with friends. Due to severe allergies, we are a No NUT Facility (i.e. no peanut butter or nuts of any kind)
Jr. Kindergarten is a year for children to receive additional development time to grow emotionally, physically and academically in a nurturing Christian school environment. The students will work on reading skills (letters, phonics, sight words), writing (“Handwriting Without Tears” curriculum), math (“Singapore Early Bird Math Common Core Edition”) workbooks, ten frame math, counting, addition and subtraction). The class will focus on God’s 7 Days of Creation, Bible verse memorization, circle time, art, science, music and movement. To instill independence, they will enjoy lunch together, which will enhance their personal responsibility (i.e. manners, cooperation, cleanup, time management). Due to severe allergies, we are a No NUT Facility (i.e. no peanut butter or nuts of any kind)
A fun part of Jr. Kindergarten is preparing for and participating in the annual Christmas Program, Graduation, and other fun-filled classroom and holiday events!
