The Mission: At Home
Mt. Si Food Bank
Mt. Si Food Bank provides food and related services to individuals and families in need. We strive to help people remain self-sufficient in the community and to maintain a sense of individual worth and dignity. Each week we serve over 1,100 people in the Snoqualmie area, run a backpack program for the Snoqualmie Valley School District (SVSD) that serves almost 200 students, and manage a soup kitchen on Tuesdays from 9:30am to 6:00pm. How does all of this get accomplished? Mt. Si Food Bank is operated by one part-time employee, and the rest are volunteers who collectively donate 650 hours of their time per month to keep the food bank running.
Teen Challenge Women’s Center
Teen Challenge is a residential discipleship program of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Each November or December Church on the Ridge hosts a Christmas celebration with the ladies from Teen Challenge. We give them Christmas gifts and put on a feast to create fellowship with them.
