Next Steps

Baptism is a chance to publicly announce and celebrate your commitment to Christ. If you have made the decision to be "all in" for Christ but have not experienced baptism yet, then come to our baptism class. There's no commitment to be baptized by just attending the class, but you'll have a chance to explore what baptism might mean for you.

Please complete the Baptism Story Form when you register and bring it to the class. Baptism Class happens every other month on the second Sunday of the month from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Cascade Room. Register for the next baptism class.

COTR 1.0 is a four-week class designed to help you discover the satisfying life Jesus promises, the community he intended us to experience, and the purpose for which he created you to find fulfillment. The course is best experienced in succession, but each class occurs on a regularly recurring basis so that if you miss one, you can pick up the next month. Register for the next COTR 1.0.

LIFE (WEEK1): How to read and apply the Bible to your life

Jesus said that he came to bring us a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10 NLT). How do we experience that with all the stresses of work, bills, chores, traffic and everyday life to manage? How can your faith have an impact on these everyday life matters so you can experience this rich and satisfying life?

COTR 1.0: LIFE uses the Bible to answer these questions, giving you an overview of the Bible and the basics of the faith, but doing so in a way to show you these things can impact your everyday life. If you are new to faith or want to go deeper in how to apply your faith to experience the rich and satisfying life Jesus promises, then check out COTR 1.0: LIFE. This class meets the first Sunday of every month from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Cascade Room.

COMMUNITY (WEEK 2): Introduction to COTR

Would you like to get to know more people at Church on the Ridge or are even thinking about joining a group? COTR 1.0: COMMUNITY is a great way to get connected and learn more about the importance of relationships.

One of the most important parts to a vibrant faith and growth in your life is the community around you. One pastor even said show me your friends and I’ll show you your future. In our fast-paced culture, it’s often hard to find time to connect with others though. COTR 1.0: COMMUNITY gives you the reasons why connecting with others is so important and helps you connect by experiencing what groups at Church on the Ridge are like. This class meets the second Sunday of every month from 11:00am – 12:00pm in Pastor Charlie’s office.

God said in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for us, plans to help us grow and give us a great future. God created each of us with unique talents and passions for this purpose. Many people struggle to find their purpose and never feel quite fulfilled at what they are doing. COTR 1.0: Purpose will help you discover how God uniquely created you so you can start a journey to do what you love.

Through personality and strengths tests, you will be able to articulate those talents and passions to reach toward your potential. Even more importantly, you’ll learn how God wants to use you to make a difference in the lives of others. This class meets the third Sunday of every month from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Cascade Room.

There’s a rhythm to how Jesus lived that helped him to remain faithful despite great pressures. How do we take the next right step toward living the life that God has called us to live? How do we practically apply all we’ve learned to start living right?

COTR 1.0: NEXT STEPS takes you through a practical process to help reach your goals. Also, you’ll be able to explore opportunities to serve in the areas that fit you based on what you discovered about yourself in COTR 1.0: PURPOSE.

COTR 1.0: NEXT STEPS happens every fourth Sunday of the month from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Cascade Room.

God created you with a purpose in mind. When you find and fulfill that purpose, you’ll be working in your passions and gifts, thriving at what you do and reaching toward your potential. If you’d like to experience that kind of life, then get started by attending our SHAPE class. During this class, you will learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts (S), your Heart (H), your Abilities (A), your Personality (P), and your Experiences (E) to live in your purpose and meet the needs of others.
